Link
Links represent controllable power transfer connections between two buses. Unlike lines (passive AC flow), links allow explicit control over power flow direction and magnitude, and can model carrier conversions.
A link connects two buses (bus0 and bus1) and can transfer power in either direction. Links are commonly used for HVDC transmission, heat pumps, gas pipelines, and other controllable connections.
Line vs Link
Use Lines for passive AC transmission with impedances. Use Links for controllable connections (HVDC, heat pumps, converters) or when modeling directed flow.
