Line

Lines represent AC transmission lines that connect two buses with physical impedance parameters. They model the passive flow of electrical power according to network physics.

A line connects two buses (bus0 and bus1) and must use an AC carrier. Lines are bidirectional and power flows according to voltage angle differences and impedances.

WARNING

Lines can only use AC carriers and model passive power flow. For controllable connections or DC transmission, use Link components instead.

Attributes

Line components have two types of attributes:

  • Inputs - Parameters you set that define line characteristics
  • Outputs - Results calculated by the solver
